This piece is a fusion of improvisation and composition. Independent improvisations from Daniel Fisher-Lochhead (alto saxophone) and Dave Palazola (drums) are combined, reconstructed and processed by Rourk via digital tape manipulations, with further processing and synthesizing by Fox Schwach, to create electro-jazz from another realm. A quartet of voices - some clearly visible, others more concealed - sing of a sononaut’s epic journey through techno-space and on a digital planet called Droniken, where strange winds blow and mysterious creatures swirl and dance in radioactive dust in the shadows of ancient ruins from some advanced civilization now buried by the sands of time.
